Why We Must Defeat the Globalist Left

Why We Must Defeat the Globalist Left
Fijo

Shalom friends,

Despite publishing an impeccable article (if I do say so myself) on why Zohran must be defeated, he handily won. Hindsight isn’t necessary to see that Cuomo was always a flawed candidate who relied far too much on voters rejecting Zohran’s radicalism rather than voting for whatever vision of New York he believed in (if he had one at all). Regardless if Zohran wins in November, we as a country must come to terms with the impact of his victory. More than the shellacking he delivered to one of New York’s favored sons is the fact that the Democratic Party has embraced him.

Starting in the winter of 2024, the Democratic Party has consistently met every opportunity to reject the radicals in the party when in contention with the Liberal Jews—the most reliable voting bloc second only to Black people for the party. More concerning than Jews who seem to affiliate themselves more with their liberal values than their Jewish ones is the fact that they are a part of a larger movement on the Left that seems to have categorically shifted their allegiance away from America and toward… well everyone else on the planet.

During the campaign, Mamdani was consistently asked if he would allow Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to come to New York City, and his consistent response has been an emphatic rejection. He believes that New York City has a moral obligation to adhere to international law, and since the ICC has an arrest warrant on Israel’s premier, he has no choice but to abide. Setting aside the radical hypocrisy of how international legal institutions execute the law or the fact that the prosecutor who demanded the warrant be issued has been accused of doing so to cover up for sexual assault charges, Mamdani’s insistence to override U.S. law should greatly concern all of us.

The United States of America is not a signatory to the Rome Statue that established the International Criminal Court, so no American elected official is required to abide by any such rulings. Furthermore, the United Nations is located in New York City, which means Netanyahu is essentially barred from addressing the General Assembly if he does not want to test Madmdani’s resolve. Ironically, Mamdani would undoubtedly allow members of Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Islamic Republic Guard Corp into the city despite their overwhelming violations of international law.

Every mayor of New York City is required to pledge an oath to the office, which includes an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. Like all elected officials, his first obligation to the United States of America and the laws of the land. His dedication to international law directly conflicts with the responsibilities and obligations of his office, yet neither he nor the Democratic Party as a whole seem to care about such things. In fact, it’s become clearer over just the last five months that all members of the Left seem to care far more about everyone other than American citizens.

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States, and the Constitution of the State of New York, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of Mayor of the City of New York, according to the best of my ability."

I’m not one to dive into the immigration debate because I really don’t know enough about the complexities of it, but I do know that Democrats have been happy to support multiple non-citizens in their fight against Trump. Whether it’s Mahmoud Khalil or Kilmar Abrego Garcia, Democrats have consistently thrown their political weight behind protecting non-citizens even when in conflict with the priorities of Americans. It’s one thing to advocate for constitutional rights to be applied where necessary—it’s another to travel down to a foreign country to meet with a man who is not an American citizen and may or may not be affiliated with a violent Latin American gang.

I understand the desire to defend people in need, but there are plenty of Americans who are also desperately in need. Legal immigrants who don’t advocate for the downfall of Israel and America are also in need. Black and Latino Americans are also desperately in need of quality healthcare, good jobs, and a good education. American citizens require our attention throughout our country and yet Democrats seem far more excited by the idea of supporting anyone but those people. One might wonder why Democrats continue to lose while they serve everyone but people legally allowed to vote.

Republicans have assumed Democrats hate America for quite some time, and I’ve always despised such accusations. In light of the last eighteen months, I’m not sure those assumptions are no longer valid. Sure they waved American flags at the Democratic National Convention, but does anyone think that Harris’s voters really love this country? Even if they do love America, I’m genuinely curious if the average Democrat believes they have much in common with their fellow citizen. We’ve seen the partisan divide growing further and further and how it’s impacted everyone’s ability to build relationships, both platonic and romantic, with those who they disagree. Beyond that, my anecdotal evidence tells me that many Democrats don’t find any kinship with someone who doesn’t vote Democrat, and far more with the undocumented immigrants from Latin America and the Judeophobic protesters from Gaza.

To be clear, I’m not saying it’s anti-American to feel sympathy for the undocumented immigrant who traversed half a continent to enter our country or for the Gazan who has experienced persecution at the hands of Israel. However, it seems like the average Democrat has moved beyond mere sympathy and has entered into a paternalistic relationship. Never has it dawned on them the irony of feeling more aligned with the average undocumented immigrant or Gazan given the former is fairly likely to be pro-life and the latter to be anything but a feminist.

Democrats might wave flags at their conventions, but I find it hard to believe when they’ve spent the recent past trying to completely rewrite our nation’s history. We shouldn’t deify the Founding Fathers, but neither should we demonize them. I don’t believe the average Democrat is actively trying to shed their love and pride for America, but neither are they pushing back. The Globalist Left has curated an omnipresent atmosphere of social pressure that requires one to accept more and more of the narrative that evil is the foundation of America. From there, it’s fairly easy to see how love for one’s country diminishes and the pride for what America has done for the world disappear. Once that love and pride are completely gone, the Globalist Left fills that hole with a universalist ideology. It’s no wonder we see so many believe that “no person is illegal” and “one’s man terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter.” These beliefs aren’t an issue until they start to erode the values for which our country stands for, which is what we see today.

Never has it dawned on them the irony of feeling more aligned with the average undocumented immigrant or Gazan given the former is fairly likely to be pro-life and the latter to be anything but a feminist.

Ironically, Zohran Mamdani is actually the perfect representation of the American Dream. His father, Mahmoud Mamdani, was the beneficiary of the Kennedy Airlift—a program funded by Americans that included Martin Luther King Jr., Jackie Robinson, and then Senator John F. Kennedy. Along with hundreds of other East Africans, he was offered the opportunity to study at an American university, which he took advantage of and received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Despite involving himself in the Civil Rights Movement as a foreign citizen, he was allowed to remain in the country where he received a Master’s Degree in both Political Science and Law and Diplomacy from Tufts and a PhD in government from Harvard. After being expelled by the president of Uganda for his ethnicity, he found refuge in the United Kingdom. Then, after having his citizenship stripped for his anti-government policies of the next president, he was able to return to Uganda in 1986. Zohran was born in 1991.

Being the son of a Columbia University professor and a successful Harvard-educated filmmaker, Zohran grew up on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. He attended the Bank Street School for Children (‘25-’26 tuition is $42,920 for Pre-K) then the Bronx High School of Science, and then Bowdin College (‘25-’26 total cost estimate is $93,880). Now, as a man with barely any work or life experience, an immigrant from East Africa, he now is on the precipice of becoming the mayor of the city many would argue is the literal center of the world.

Zohran Mamdani owes everything he and his family have achieved to the freedoms and opportunities created by the values on which the United States of America are based. Instead, he decries and disrespects those very values with every lie he tells and truth he obfuscates. As opposed to being grateful for the life he lives because the Constitution has protected him and his family at every turn, he spits on it before he arrogantly admits it means nothing relative to the morally bankrupt values of the international community.

It would be nice to believe that Mamdani does not represent the whole, but only the “extreme” wing of the Democratic Party; however, if Democrats are going to ever win another election, they have to come to terms with the fact that this “globalist” wing is now the predominant one, not the other way around. Even if one were to argue the “moderates” still hold the gavel, the globalists now hold enough sway that every “moderate” must heel to them or risk their wrath. In the past, long-standing Donkeys could outright reject extremists such as Mamdani and dismiss the people who voted for him. Now we see these same officials welcoming him and his globalist cult with open arms.

This is not just about winning elections, but about protecting the values for which every election is based upon. The Globalist Left agenda is entirely focused on eroding the very foundation of the American Project. They don’t just want more immigrants in this country, they want to allow non-citizens to vote. They don’t just want to reject Federalism—they want us to become subservient to a literal Global Doctrine that is anything but representative or righteous. They don’t want to only shame Zionists, they want to murder Zionists. The Globalist Left is not coy about seeking the destruction of the Amerikkkan Empire so why should we be any less coy about seeking the demise of their movement? The Globalist Left is a danger to the United States of America, and we must defeat it.
